CVA Paramount Pro V2 45 Cal features
CVA’s Paramount Pro takes the Paramount’s long-range design and adds a better stock and Cerakote finish. It’s the muzzleloader for hunters who practice at distance.
A 1:22 twist suits long, heavy, high-BC bullets. The barrel is nitride-treated stainless steel. It weighs around 8.25 to 8.75 pounds, which helps it sit steady from a rest. The barrel is free floated and threaded 3/4×20.
The Cerakote finish holds up to rain, sweat and rough handling much better than plain bluing.
Why 45 Caliber?
The 45 caliber shoots smaller, often longer bullets that fly flatter than a typical 50 caliber load. With the right bullet and powder charge, a 45 holds its speed better at distance, which is why long-range muzzleloader hunters like it. Check your state rules before you buy, because a few states set a minimum bore size.
Muzzleloader seasons and rules vary by state. The US Fish and Wildlife Service hunting page links to state wildlife agencies, and it’s worth checking yours before you load up.

Who the CVA Paramount Pro V2 45 Cal is for

Getting your muzzleloader ready
Clean it the same day you shoot. Pull the breech plug by hand, scrub the bore with a muzzleloader solvent, dry it, and put a light coat of oil on the plug threads before it goes back in. Fouling left overnight pulls moisture and starts rust fast.
