Every CVA rifle and muzzleloader ships to the licensed FFL dealer you name at checkout. Here is how CVA FFL shipping works, start to finish.
How CVA FFL shipping works
CVA FFL shipping is simple. Federal law says a firearm bought online has to go through a licensed dealer, so we ship your rifle to the FFL you choose and you collect it there. The ATF firearms Q&A explains the federal side.
Choose a dealer
Any gun shop or home-based FFL near you that does transfers. Call and ask for their fee.
Check out
Enter the dealer’s name and address on the checkout page when you order.
Collect
When it arrives, the dealer calls you. Bring ID, fill out the form, and take it home.
CVA FFL shipping times and costs
We ship once your payment and dealer details are confirmed. Orders over $99 ship free. Your dealer may charge a transfer fee, which is between you and them. If your dealer wants a copy of our license first, email us their details and we’ll handle it.
State rules and CVA FFL shipping
Some states add their own rules, like waiting periods or limits on certain features. Your dealer knows your state’s rules and won’t transfer anything that isn’t allowed. Do I need an FFL to buy a CVA rifle online?
Yes. Every firearm we sell ships to a licensed FFL dealer, and you pick it up there.
Do muzzleloaders ship to an FFL too?
Yes. We ship CVA muzzleloaders to your dealer as well. Federal law treats most muzzleloaders differently, but some states don’t, so one rule for every order keeps it simple.
How much does the dealer charge?
Transfer fees are set by the dealer. Many charge between $20 and $50. Call ahead and ask.
What if my dealer needs our license?
Email us the dealer details and we’ll sort out the paperwork with them before shipping.
Is shipping free?
