CVA rifles shipping in the US: how FFL delivery works
CVA rifles shipping in the US always goes through a licensed dealer. Here is the process, what it costs and the state rules to know.

CVA rifles shipping in the US is straightforward. You order online, enter your preferred FFL dealer at checkout, and we ship the rifle to that dealer. You pick it up after a background check. That’s federal law for any firearm bought online, and the ATF firearms Q&A explains it in plain terms.
Step by step: CVA rifles shipping in the US
- Pick a dealer near you that does transfers. Most gun shops do, and some home-based FFLs charge less.
- Call and ask their transfer fee. It’s often $20 to $50.
- Order your CVA rifle and enter the dealer’s name and address at checkout.
- We ship to the dealer. They call you when it arrives.
- Bring ID, fill out ATF Form 4473, pass the background check, and take it home.
State rules that affect shipping
Some states add waiting periods, permit requirements or feature limits. California, for example, has a 10 day waiting period on all firearms. New York and New Jersey need state permits for some purchases. Your dealer knows the local rules, so ask them before you order if you’re unsure.
Straight-wall states like Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Iowa don’t restrict buying a rifle, only what you can hunt deer with. If that’s you, look at the Cascade 350 Legend or the Scout Compact 350 Legend.
Muzzleloaders and FFL shipping
Under federal law, most modern muzzleloaders aren’t treated as firearms. A few states see it differently, so we ship every CVA muzzleloader to an FFL as well. It’s one rule for every order and avoids surprises.
Choosing an FFL dealer
Any federally licensed dealer that does transfers will do. Gun shops are the obvious choice, and many sporting goods stores and home-based FFLs take transfers too. Ask about their hours and how they want to receive the package. A dealer you’ll use again is worth a phone call to build the relationship. If a dealer asks for a copy of our license, reply to your order email and we’ll send it.
Costs
Shipping is free on orders over $99. The only extra is your dealer’s transfer fee. Pay with cryptocurrency and you get 15% off the order, which usually covers the transfer fee and then some. Full details are on our FFL shipping page.
