Inside the CVA Scout Takedown 350 Legend Veil Summit
This Scout comes apart without tools. Push the barrel release and the rifle breaks into two pieces that fit in a pack, a truck box or a boat locker.
A reversible hammer spur works from either side of the scope. The stock is 100 percent ambidextrous and wears a CrushZone recoil pad. A DuraSight scope rail sits on top for quick optic mounting. Takedown models get a fluted stainless steel barrel.
Cerakote is a ceramic coating that resists rust and scratches better than bluing. On this rifle it means less worry in rain, snow and salt air.
350 Legend in the CVA Scout Takedown 350 Legend Veil Summit
Winchester brought out the 350 Legend in 2019 as a straight-wall cartridge, mainly for hunters in states such as Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Iowa that limit deer seasons to straight-wall rounds. It kicks less than a 30-30 or a 243, the ammo is cheap and easy to find, and a 150 to 180 grain bullet does the job on deer at normal woods and field distances.
If you want the technical side, the SAAMI cartridge drawings cover chamber dimensions. Wikipedia has a good summary of the 350 Legend too.
