CVA Accura MR-X 45 Cal Scoped features
The Accura MR-X is CVA’s mountain muzzleloader. MR stands for Mountain Rifle, and the 26 inch Bergara barrel keeps it shorter and lighter than the LR-X.
CVA pairs the MR-X with a carbon fiber collapsible ramrod on most models. The X-TremeStock has a comfortable grip and a soft recoil pad. It fires with a 209 primer. The Bergara barrel is threaded 3/4×24 at the muzzle.
The Gray and Realtree Rockslide finish keeps glare down in the field, and the synthetic stock won’t swell or warp in wet weather.
CVA Accura MR-X 45 Cal Scoped scope package
The CVA Accura MR-X 45 Cal Scoped comes with a KonusPro 3-9x40mm scope. Three to nine power is a sensible range for most hunting: low for close shots in timber, higher for field edges and cut lines. Check the ring screws, then zero at 100 yards with the load you plan to hunt with.
What the 45 Caliber is good for
The 45 caliber shoots smaller, often longer bullets that fly flatter than a typical 50 caliber load. With the right bullet and powder charge, a 45 holds its speed better at distance, which is why long-range muzzleloader hunters like it. Check your state rules before you buy, because a few states set a minimum bore size.
Muzzleloader seasons and rules vary by state. The US Fish and Wildlife Service hunting page links to state wildlife agencies, and it’s worth checking yours before you load up.

Who the CVA Accura MR-X 45 Cal Scoped is for

Setup and care tips
Clean it the same day you shoot. Pull the breech plug by hand, scrub the bore with a muzzleloader solvent, dry it, and put a light coat of oil on the plug threads before it goes back in. Fouling left overnight pulls moisture and starts rust fast.
