What you get with the CVA Cascade XT 7mm Rem Mag
The Cascade XT is the upgraded Cascade. It gets a #5 taper fluted barrel, Graphite Black Cerakote metalwork and an oversized bolt knob.
A two-position safety and a flush-fit detachable magazine keep the controls simple. The synthetic stock has a SoftTouch finish and adjustable length of pull through a spacer system. Fluting trims weight from the barrel and helps it shed heat between shots. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 (11/16×24 on the 450 Bushmaster).
The Cerakote finish holds up to rain, sweat and rough handling much better than plain bluing.
What the 7mm Remington Magnum is good for
Remington released the 7mm Rem Mag in 1962, and it’s still one of the best-selling magnum cartridges. It shoots flat, has less recoil than a 300 magnum, and 150 to 175 grain bullets cover deer through elk.
SAAMI publishes the official chamber and cartridge drawings on its cartridge and chamber drawings page. There’s also a readable 7mm Remington Magnum history on Wikipedia.
