CVA Cascade 300 Win Mag Killik features
The Cascade is CVA’s bolt-action hunting rifle. Its 4140 carbon steel barrel is threaded 5/8×24 at the muzzle, so you can add a brake or suppressor where the law allows.
The bolt lifts 70 degrees, so it cycles fast and clears a big scope. A two-position safety sits where your thumb lands. It feeds from a flush-fit detachable magazine. The fiberglass-reinforced synthetic stock has a SoftTouch finish that grips well in rain and cold.
The Killik Big Sky and Sniper Gray finish keeps glare down in the field, and the synthetic stock won’t swell or warp in wet weather.
What the 300 Winchester Magnum is good for
Winchester introduced the 300 Win Mag in 1963. It’s a belted magnum that sends 180 to 200 grain bullets fast and flat. It’s a favorite for elk and moose at long distance. Expect real recoil, so a muzzle brake on the threaded barrel is worth thinking about.
SAAMI publishes the official chamber and cartridge drawings on its cartridge and chamber drawings page. There’s also a readable 300 Winchester Magnum history on Wikipedia.
