CVA Scout V2 Takedown 450 Bushmaster Stainless features
The Scout V2 Takedown is a single-shot rifle that comes apart in seconds with no tools. Barrel and stock separate, and the rifle fits in a small case or a pack.
The 100 percent ambidextrous stock has a CrushZone recoil pad. The DuraSight DEAD-ON one-piece scope mount holds zero when you take the rifle down and put it back together. A reversible hammer spur suits both left and right-handed shooters. The barrel is fluted 416 stainless steel.
This rifle has a corrosion-resistant barrel finish, which helps on wet days and long hunts.
450 Bushmaster in the CVA Scout V2 Takedown 450 Bushmaster Stainless
The 450 Bushmaster is a big straight-wall round that throws 250 to 300 grain bullets. It’s legal in most straight-wall deer states. It hits hard inside 200 yards and has more recoil than a 350 Legend, though a good recoil pad keeps it manageable. Hornady’s factory loads are the ones most hunters start with.
SAAMI publishes the official chamber and cartridge drawings on its cartridge and chamber drawings page. There’s also a readable 450 Bushmaster history on Wikipedia.
